Liver Qigong
with Violet Li
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver is regarded as the body's “general,” a vital organ that orchestrates internal harmony. When its health is compromised, it triggers a domino effect across the entire system, as it can no longer effectively filter toxins, regulate energy, or produce essential proteins. Because it sits at the crossroads of the digestive and circulatory systems, an unhealthy liver can lead to widespread issues, including cognitive "fog," metabolic disruptions, skin changes, weakened immunity, and poor circulatory health.
Spring is the ideal time to focus on liver health and restoration. Master Violet Li will lead a series of essential Qigong exercises tailored to strengthen and revitalize the liver. To ensure lasting benefits, we encourage you to integrate these movements into your daily routine year-round for optimal long-term results.
Master Violet Li, a 12th Generation Chen Style Tai Chi Inheritor under Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei and seasoned Qigong instructor, has taught more than 10,000 people worldwide both in person and online. She has written more than 700 articles on the healing art of Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation, and wellness, mostly in English and some in Chinese and won awards for her unbiased reporting. Many of her articles were translated into foreign languages and shared by tens of thousands globally. Master Li is known as a teacher’s teacher because she has trained and certified many to teach Tai Chi and Qigong. She has been spotlighted and featured by mainstream media, like NBC, CBS, and National Public Radio as well as the media in the global healing art community.

Born during the Jin dynasty in Shandong, she married and had three children before becoming a prominent female Taoist disciple at age 51. She lived as a hermit in Luoyang until her passing. Known as a founder of the Qingjing (Clear Stillness) sect, she was a foundational figure in female internal alchemy (nüdan).
“In the Daoist tradition, study and practice are inseparable: to study is to practice and to practice is to study. Understanding a text can help us practice its teachings; practicing its teachings can help us understand its meanings.”
